At our practice we have one full time physiotherapist, a part-time physiotherapist, a part-time acupuncturist, and two massage therapists, who are available on Wednesdays and Thursday afternoons.

Mal Jackson 

Mal Jackson

Mal is the Principal of the Practice. He works full time and is available every business day of the week and works most Saturday mornings. Mal graduated from Qld. University in 1995 and is a member of  APA as well as the following  special interest groups:

· Aquatic Physiotherapy Group

· MPA Non Titled

· SPA Non Titled Full Time

· South West Qld Regional Group

Mal has gained a broad range of  experience over the past 15 years working in a number of different locations, including the hospital systems in New South Wales, Queensland, and the NHS in England.  Mal has also had a number of years experience in private practice.

When younger , Mal was selected to play for the Qld U19 and U21 Rugby Union sides and the Australian Universities Rugby Union side. Being involved with sport , Mal has a special interest in Sports Physiotherapy.  Mal has also completed the 4 levels of the Clinical Pilates course held by DMA.

 

 

 

 

Andrew Cumming

Andrew graduated in acupuncture in 2007, after completing a two-month internship in China where he gained valuable experience in Traditional Chinese medicine techniques. Andrew believes that Acupuncture and Physiotherapy are and ideal combination in the treatment of musculoskeletal injury.

Andrew is a  resident to the Granite Belt and enjoys the quality of life available here.  Acupuncture appointments are available  on Tuesdays and Fridays.

 

 

Fiona Henderson

Fiona is an accredited Remedial Massage Therapist / Lymph Odema Therapist with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) as well as the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT). She gained her first Remedial Massage Diploma in 1996, and completed the Casley-Smith Complex Lymphatic Therapy in 2006. She is trained to use Chinese suction cups, muscle massaging machine, as well as a class level 1 laser machine. These are used in adjunct to 'hands-on' massage. Fiona is in Stanthorpe on Thursdays.

Leanne Haynes

Leanne has 12 years experience in Medical Reception / Administration. In 2003 Leanne completed a Certidficate III in Medical Reception with University of New England and has completed a number of courses over the years to upgrade and maintain her skills in Patient Services and Management.

Leanne is currently studying for her Certificate IV Physiotherapy assistant.

 

 

Janette O'Brien

 

Janette has many years experience in Medical Reception and has recently joined Mal Jackson Physiotherapy part time.
